Aside from being a well rounded university, Florida Gulf Coast also offers an enormous amount of resources that you will have full access to while attending FGCU! Eagle Connect is an area where you can go to find options for service learning, which you need 80 hours of to graduate. Next, the school has a Klesit Health Education Center which is located at the entrance of Florida Gulf Coast University. This non-profit organization is used to teach and promote healthy choices and life styles. The schools also provides a Wellness Center in case of illness or injuries at no charge. The school offers Counseling and Psychological Services, which is designed to help one feel much better and overcome stress or any issues that need assistance. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 8 am. to 5 pm. and Fridays from 8 am. to 4 pm.
The school offers a Campus Food Pantry, which is available to help students who need extra help with supplying food in case they do not have a vehicle or extra money on hand. All you need to do is enroll in your current semester with a current University ID. You are allowed to get food on Tuesday and Wednesday from 3 pm to 6 pm. You can also volunteer at the Food Pantry for service learning hours. The school offers the Students Health Services, where you can go for immunizations, routine care, emergencies, and after hours.
Parking Services and Campus Safety are services provided by the school, where you can go to take care of your parking tickets along with any crimes that need to be reported. First Year Advising is set to help Freshman decide what they want to do with their academics in the upcoming years at FGCU. It is a way to also allow students to find their way along their track for their major. Distance Learning is something that the school provides to help those who do not live close to campus, which includes online classes.
Adaptive Services is to enhance access for students, faculty, and guest with disabilities to help them feel equally comfortable. The Writing Center is a place to assist with free accessible and writing based consultants. They assist the writer on thinking of better techniques for writing and ways for them to improve their work. Tutoring for Math and Science classes are available for students in need of extra assistance with an upcoming test or any material that they don't fully understand!
